Grand Hôtel de la Plage’s bistro restaurant adapts to your pace by offering bistro food at lunchtime— to be enjoyed on the go between two dips in the sea; and semi-gourmet cuisine in the evening for a delightfully peaceful and delicious experience overlooking the ocean.

2- Gourmet food
The “Retour de marché” (Back from the Market) menu, put together daily by the restaurant’s proprietors, has made it a veritable institution. It includes simple and tasty homemade dishes and excellent snacks for a quick lunch – a local burger (butcher’s steak and sheep’s cheese), shellfish fricassee, tuna tartar, profiteroles or fruit salad served with homemade syrup.

Produce is chosen in an eco-responsible way. The fish — tuna, pollack, squid, etc. — are exclusively from the Atlantic Ocean, locally sourced ingredients are favoured and our dishes are based on the seasons.

Both in the evening and at lunchtime, enjoy the health benefits of iodine by opting for the shellfish menu. On a plate or a platter, try whelks, pink prawns or langoustines and let yourself be enticed by crab and lobster. The Arcachon Bay oysters are from the oyster farmer Bontemps.
